Routes

The 145km, 100km and 55km route events will take place on Sunday, 28th of June. The family 12km and 25km cycles will take place on the Saturday evening (27th).

 The Leinster Loop – 145km

Start time – 9:30am sharp

Cycling Ireland Members: €50 (Plus online booking fee).

 Non-Cycling Ireland Members: €55 (Plus online booking fee. Price includes one day CI membership).

This exciting route, taking in counties Kildare, Laois, Kilkenny, Carlow and Wicklow, is designed for experienced and fit cyclists. It includes 20km (approx) in the Killeshin Hills to fully test the strength, perseverance and stamina of the riders.

It is an extremely scenic route and covers quite hilly terrain, so your training programme should reflect this.

Please note that participants must be aged 16 or over on Sunday, 28th June 2020.

 The Barrow Challenge – 100km

 Start time – 9:00am sharp

Cycling Ireland Members: €50 (Plus online booking fee).

Non-Cycling Ireland Members: €55 (Plus online booking fee. Price includes one day CI membership).

This challenging route, taking in counties Kildare, Laois, Carlow and Wicklow, is also designed for experienced and fit cyclists. It is a relatively flat route, yet includes some testing hills. An ideal progression for those riders who completed the 55km route last year.

Please note that participants must be aged 16 or over on Sunday, 28th June 2020.

 The Cill Dara Cruise – 55km

Start time – 10:30am sharp

Cycling Ireland Members: €30 (Plus online booking fee).

Non-Cycling Ireland Members: €35 (Plus online booking fee. Price includes one day CI membership).

The Cill Dara Cruise, at 55 km, is a gentle tester for those who spend a bit of time in the saddle. For those, however, who are not used to doing much cycling, this is a really good test, and particularly suitable for family participation.

The Drummerswell 25km

Start time – 5:00pm Saturday, 27th June 2020

€10 per individual.

This is a fun cycle visiting our local villages. It is aimed at our young cyclists looking to progress upwards from our family cycle.

 The Griese Valley 12km

Start time – 5:30pm Saturday 27th June 

 €20 per family or €10 per individual.

This is a fun ramble through the scenic Griese Valley and taking in the historic Quaker village of Ballitore. It is intended for families and individuals looking for a leisurely cycle.
